My stay at Grand Canyon Lodge North Rim was a mixed experience. The beautiful location allowed me to easily explore the stunning canyon, but the check-in process was chaotic and frustrating. The accommodations were basic and overpriced, which was disappointing given the lack of dining options available. Overall, the natural beauty made the trip worthwhile, but the lodge experience fell short in several areas.
Rooms
5.0
The room I had was very basic, with a full-size bed and no television. The bathroom was quite small and cramped, definitely lacking in luxury.
Service
5.0
Checking in was quite a nightmare; it took over an hour in a long line. The service in the dining areas was also slow, with meals taking an excessive amount of time to be served.
Location
6.0
The location is absolutely amazing. I loved being able to step out and enjoy the views of the canyon at different times of the day.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were limited and quite expensive. I struggled to find decent food without a reservation at the main restaurant, and the 'deli' offered poor quality and limited choices.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were basic and in need of maintenance, especially the dining area which felt drafty and uninviting.

My stay at the Grand Canyon Lodge North Rim was better than I expected, with charming cabin accommodations and very nice views. However, the rustic cabins had small bathrooms and limited amenities, which might not suit everyone’s preferences. Dining options were decent, and I enjoyed snacks from the deli while taking in the sunset views from the porch.
Rooms
8.0
I stayed in a Frontier Cabin, which was cozy and clean, but definitely rustic with a tiny bathroom. While it felt charming, I found it challenging to live out of my suitcase due to the lack of closets.
Service
8.0
The check-in process was smooth, although I had a minor issue with the room key that was promptly resolved. The cabin attendant was helpful in taking care of dirty towels, although they didn’t make up the bed.
Location
9.0
The location is stunning, with amazing views from the lodge itself, particularly around sunset. I loved being close to hiking trails, although parking was a bit of a trek.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience was okay; I opted for pizza at the deli instead of the lodge restaurant. Eating on the porch with a view was a highlight, especially during sundown.
Facilities
6.0
The lodge offered nice communal areas and an inviting saloon for drinks, but overall, the facilities felt more dining-centric than focused on accommodation.

Staying at the Grand Canyon Lodge was a amazing experience mostly due to the amazing views from my rim-side cabin. The service was generally friendly and prompt, though I did encounter a few minor inconveniences with the parking arrangements. Overall, it was worth it for the unique experience of being so close to nature.
Rooms
10.0
My rim-view cabin was spacious and comfortable, although it had a rustic charm typical of structures from the 30s. At least there were electric heaters to keep warm during the chilly October nights.
Service
8.0
The staff were helpful and attentive, assisting me with a key issue and providing a timely ride to my cabin after dark. However, I did notice some areas where the service could have been more efficient, like the bar which seemed understaffed during busy hours.
Location
9.0
The lodge's location is unbeatable for stunning views and access to the amazing Kaibab National Forest. The sunsets were particularly nice from my cabin, but parking was quite a distance, requiring a golf cart ride to get my luggage sorted.
Dining
10.0
Dining at the lodge was a real treat with delicious options, especially the bison tenderloin, which I highly recommend. Just be sure to make dinner reservations beforehand, as it fills up quickly!
Facilities
7.0
The lack of Wi-Fi felt refreshing, allowing me to disconnect fully. Though some facilities, like ice machines, were quite a trek from the cabins, I appreciated the unique charm of the lodge overall.

I had a mixed experience at Grand Canyon Lodge North Rim. The location is absolutely stunning, and it was great to reconnect with nature. However, the cabins were quite small and uncomfortable, and I couldn’t help but notice the lack of privacy due to thin walls. Dining options could be improved, as I found the food to be overpriced for what it offered.
Rooms
5.0
The cabin was too small and uncomfortable, with limited privacy due to a flimsy dividing wall with neighbors.
Service
5.0
While staff were generally helpful and polite, I did encounter some issues with check-out service, where I faced a long wait and felt disregarded.
Location

The location is amazing, allowing easy access to explore the Grand Canyon and enjoy the lovely views.
Dining

While the restaurant had some excellent meal options, I found the food to be overpriced compared to the quality.
Facilities

The key amenity was the shuttle service, which made getting around easy, but some facilities felt lacking.

The location near the North Rim is stunning, but unfortunately, my experience was overshadowed by cleanliness issues and service problems. While the views are amazing, the accommodations left much to be desired. I found myself wishing for better overall maintenance and customer service during my stay.
Rooms

I stayed in a Pioneer Cabin that was not clean. The carpet was dusty and had cobwebs everywhere, and the pull-out futon was dirty and uncomfortable for the teens. I ended up needing to rent an additional cabin for a better night's sleep.
Service
5.0
The service was frustrating. There were issues with our reservations being mixed up upon check-in and check-out. Additionally, my party faced noise complaints for simply socializing outside our rooms until the evening.
Location
8.0
The location is unbeatable, right next to the North Rim with easy access to the stunning canyon views. I loved being able to explore such a beautiful area within walking distance of the lodge.
Dining
5.0
I found the restaurant to be overpriced for the simple food provided. While I was hungry after hiking all day, I wasn't particularly impressed with my meals.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities needed better upkeep. I noticed several cleanliness issues that detracted from my overall experience.
